In accordance with MCMC and Malaysia’s cybersecurity laws, we have implemented a strict policy to ensure secure and traceable communication with our users.
Legal Basis for This Policy
Communications and Multimedia Act 1998:
- Section 130 – Fraudulent use of network facilities or services.
- Section 233 – Improper use of network facilities/ services to impersonate or mislead.
- Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010 – Requires secure, accountable management of user identity data.
- National Cyber Security Policy (NCSP) – Promotes traceability and identity verification to reduce fraud risk.
Policy Details
1. Verified SIM Card / Phone Number Required
Must be registered to your legal IC/ Passport.- Helps prevent fraud, scams, and impersonation.
- Ensures accountability and security.
Requests from unverified numbers will be rejected automatically.
2. 30-Day Lock on Email Changes
Email change locked for 30 days after activation or phone number update.- Helps prevent account takeover or impersonation.
- Email cannot be updated during the lock period.
